Obama Goes Abroad
If it is Tuesday, it Must be France! (or, is it Germany?)
OMG, what's the name of that Prime Minister?
Barack Obama is all set to travel to Jordan, Israel, France, Germany and England in a six-day jaunt, for what purpose I haven't a clue. He will barely have time to shake hands with anyone in each whistle stop of the tour. They say that security is a serious problem, too, forcing the Obama camp to hide the itinerary from the public, lest the bad guys set a trap for him.
Will he come back and tell us all that he has been there, and now knows all there is to know about those nations? Will he say that he now has intimate relationships with the leaders in Europe?
What will he achieve with such a blitz of a visit? Does this burnish his credentials for foreign affairs? Is he now really well-informed about the problems of these nations? Does he realize the depth of feeling these nations have concerning America?
Really now, this is merely a political stunt designed to allay our fears that he knows jack-all about other nations, foreign affairs, conflicts areound the world, and political differences in each of those nations. If anyone is fooled by this cynical maneuver, shame on them.
He knows Jack-all, and will know Jack-all when he returns.
Oh, which one of those guys was the Premier?
UPDATE: 7/22/08
Now we know! Obama is NEGOTIATING WITH THE IRAQIS, DURING A WAR. This has never been done by a candidate in the history of the union. And, to top it off, he gave a press conference in which his faltering AH, Um, that is, um, ah! talk was a full 8 minutes long out of 45 minutes. This is our other candidate? He is indeed an empty suit. May God protect America from such irrelevance!
His sneaky trip actually started in Afghanistan, went to Iraq, and then to Jordan, mostly for a photo op with leaders, except for his injecting himself into the Iraqi war and its negotiations. He should be condemned for this. 30-minute diplomacy is not sound; and candidate diplomacy is totally out of order!

Tell Me, Which are the 7 New States?
Did I hear correctly? Obama is talking about 57 states in the US of A? Who has he annexed? The entire Central America? Unforgivably Dumb!

The Coming War With Iran
An Opening Shot This Summer?
Solly Ganor writes that his sources predict that Hisbollah will attack Israel again this Summer, as part of the continuing Islamic push to eradicate Israel, and weaken the United States.
There seems to be some slight recognition by the Dems that all is not mythical about the Islamic threat to our security. There is no real movement, however, because it would undermine their move towards power in 2008. Some of the lessening of the vitriol by the Dems can be attributed to a belated recognition of the facts about Islamic ambitions around the world. Facts that George Bush has been aware of and working on for years, but the Dems saw fit to deny in order to castigate the President.
In a perverse way, the Dems may well have caused many of the missteps of our Iraqi effort, by forcing the Administration to go around Robin Hood's Barn to get to the house. This is no way to support American objectives in a shooting war. I am ashamed of the Dems more than anything else!

The Iraq Debacle
We see the evidence every day.
Just about every Dimdem is finding a slot on TV and in the MSM to rail and whine about the war in Iraq, and the President’s plan to augment our forces there. The air time and inches of space in newspapers (make that opinion papers) has favored the Dimdems and the Left by factors approaching 6 to 1. Now the threat of cutting off the money is receiving increased publicity, as if the Dimdems are trying the idea on to see if we, the public, will go along with it. We should NOT go along with it!
This is the real debacle--the Dimdems! They do not address the problem itself, only their ferocious desire for us to disengage in Iraq, as if that would be a solution to the Mid East chaos caused by Muslims.
It makes one wonder whether these Leftwitches are in the pay of the Islamic Alliance. Every move the Dimdems have made seems to be directly beneficial to Palestinians, Arabs and Persians, and hiding behind that position is a distinctly anti-Israel bias as well.
I accuse the Dimdems of perfidy, hypocrisy, lust for power, and a willingness to do or say literally anything to grab it. I could not look in my mirror every day and like myself if I had violated our ethics and our trust as Dimdems have. Dishonesty and double dealing is not something I could live with.
We must oppose these clowns, but as I have stated in an earlier post, I do not believe we will confront the Islamic problem fully until we lose Britain, France, Holland, Belgium, NYC, Washington, or San Francisco to a Muslim takeover or to a Muslim-planted nuke. There are far too many do-good, soft-hearted fools in the country that cannot see the threat of Islam for what it is, and they mostly vote for the Dimdems.
I pray to God that the light of truth will shine on our Congressmen for a change.

What Mandate?
The lesson of the election is being distorted, in my opinion.
We hear daily blurbs that the people have spoken and we need to pull out of Iraq. That is the Dems version of the election results. We, the American people, have said via our votes that we deplore the war, and want out, according to the Dems.
I have a different take. We the people want a victory in Iraq. We haven't seen sufficient progress over the past years to feel satisfied that we have been doing all we could to effect our success. Thus the Bush Team is faulted for not pursuing the war aggressively enough . We do not want an abject pullout, but a convincing win in Iraq. Many of us feel that more manpower on the ground, and more aggressive pursuit of the radical Islamists and militias of the clerics would rapidly dry up the insurgency. We seem to have kept our troop levels steady and modest while the insurgents have reinforced themselves from Syria and Iran. We do not own the night, and the day is iffy too. Granted, it is Iraq in the end that must control their own security, but we need a thorough cleansing of the radical population right now.
Such a cleansing would take a large commitment of forces, on the order of another 150,000 to 200,000 men, to close off Baghdad, seal the borders, and to lead the Iraqi forces further into self-supporting effectiveness. Then, too, it would be handy to have such a force in Iraq in case the Iranian situation goes sour, and the Syrians act up with them.
Some people have complained that this force augmentation would mean multiple tours in Iraq for many soldiers. That is why our soldiers serve. As long as we need to fight in Iraq, soldiers will fight and stay there to ensure their victory. We need more troops as well, which should lead to a draft again, but with a major difference. Let the volunteers fight, and let the draftees man the US stations left by the volunteers. Let the draftees decide to join the regular forces if they so desire after they have been trained up thoroughly.
Of course this is all against the Dems objectives, which is to let us lose in Iraq. So the loss of thousands of our men dead and many thousands wounded, will have been in vain. What a crock!

The Subterfuge is Becoming Apparent
Doesn't take long for Leftists to show their true selves!
Pelosi backs Murtha: hard Leftists both.
Waxman has so many investigation ideas he is paralyzed with joy.
The impeachment groups are frothing at the mouth to get started in earnest.
Waxman will find something to hang his hat on that will convince Pelosi to drop her opposition to impeachment, however nebulous it is in fact.
Pulling out of Iraq in a very short time is being pushed vigorously.
The GWOT will be downplayed, in favor of "accomodation" with Muslims--to our grave detriment.
Clinton is resurrecting her Health fiasco--the largest bureaucracy ever proposed!
We will see the Hate Crime bill running through the House soon.
The Minimum Wage increase will be passed in the House and the Senate, despite the obvious bad impact on the economy and employment according to most economists.
Illegal Immigrants will get amnesty, whatever they call it to disguise its real nature. This is the payoff for Hispanics voting Democratic, and cementing them as a major base for the party.
Christianity will be under increasing attack in the public place.
Last, but most significant, our taxes are going up, regardless of what some Dems say. They need to pay for their largesses and scams. Since 80% of the taxes are paid by the top 10% of the wage earners, this is nothing but blatant robbery of the most productive people in the economy in the name of the government. Redistribution of wealth is an idea from the Devil.

Disaster in Washington!
Progressives get their day.
Not only do we have an error-prone Administration, but now also a Progressive Congressional majority.
Gridlock is the best possible outcome for the next two years. If we get Killary in 08, who is posing for now as a moderate, but is actually a rabid liberal progressive, the future directions of the country will be irrevocably harmed. Open your wallets wide, they are about to be raided, so you might as well make it easy on yourself. If you make a decent amount of money per year, you are in even greater jeopardy for a raid: the whole theme of Progressives is to take away from the well-to-do, slice off a hefty bunch to allow the government to expand dramatically, and to line the pockets of the new managerial class to meet "needs", and then dole out the remainder to illegal immigrants and others who sit and wait for their share. Socialism is on the way now, for sure. Soros, the MSM and the limousine liberals have won the day.
So be it. Perhaps Republicans, now in opposition, will be as nasty as the Democrats and the MSM have been for six years. It seems to work: tell a lie and repeat it a million times, and the public believes it!
Not enough of you voted Republican! For shame!
