Fitna
Fitna should be seen.
I suppose it is true that many Muslims have not read the Koran, the Hadith, or any of the Fatwas that define the official faith of Islam. They take their understanding of Islam from their local imam and visiting clerics. The Koran is written in Arabic in the first place, and to purchase a translated copy may be more than many can afford.
This means that some large percentage of Muslims are simply ignorant of the larger problems of adhering to the faith. Some, however, are quite aware of the demands of Jihad, and the hatred of Christians and Jews preached by imams and their Koran, yet they conduct themselves as rational citizens of many nations for most of their lives.
Another group, however, which may amount to as much as 30-40% of Muslims, are not only aware of their obligations, but are quite willing to follow Jihadist leaders into terrorist actions against the infidel. Out of this group come the fighters, the terrorists, the insurgents, and the devoted anti-Jewish Hamas, Hisbollah, rocket launchings into Israel, and Iranian, Syrian or Saudi infiltrators in Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestine.
Since this group amounts to something like 50 to 150 million male Muslims of fighting age in the pool, there is no shortage of willing suicide bombers, fighters and intifada participants. What they usually lack is sufficient training, arms and easy access to their targets. This is a purely logistics problem.
So I will give peaceful Muslims a wary pass for now, but such a pass is fully conditional on their continued good behavior in our nation and elsewhere.
This does not help us much, since there are so many left around the world that are willing to riot, destroy, cut off heads, blow up restaurants, rocket civilians, burn autos, plant IEDs, shoot Iraqi citizens, and hang our men by the neck to bridgework. Many, many Muslims are violent, subversive and dangerous people, and they should be held accountable for their barbaric actions wherever they happen. This is what the GWOT is all about.
I find appeasement of Muslims to be a rather risky business, since there is such a great chance that we are appeasing Jihadists — if only in waiting — and I certainly do not want to have to defend our nation from those who would install Sharia Law here in any way as they are pushing for in the UK, France, Holland, Sweden, and other EU nations.
Too much tolerance of a dedicated enemy is not a wise thing to practice. Read the Koran, and watch Wilders' movie. He is not exaggerating.

Hillary Lies!
A Hillary Lie is No Surprise!
We have been treated to a full-blown Hillary lie two times now, if not more! She described her arrival in Bosnia under sniper fire in graphic terms, trying, I suppose, to enhance her credentials as tested under fire. The problem is, it never happened. CBS and Sinbad both have shown pictorially and verbally that there was no sniper fire upon Hillary's arrival. Today, she says that she "misspoke" for the first time in 12 years. Problem with that is she told the same lie last year in a speech, and we don't know in how many other engagements she has used that lie to gain sympathy for her candidacy.
So this is the caliber of person that we must vote for in the forthcoming election? She will indeed do anything to gain power, especially lie to the American public. The Democrats now have a weasel-wording Black Liberation candidate and Another Clinton Lier candidate for president. Unforgivable!

Obama-Wright
How very unclear it is!
The Obama-Wright duo, or maybe trio if one includes Obama's wife, has been spawned in the Black Militant Theology, and only slightly disguised by the candidate. While Obama avoids using hate terms directly, one can read between the lines the same messages as Wright and his wife.
Further, while Obama denounces the more flagrant messages of his pastor, he fails to identify them at all. This leaves us to decide which of Wright's statements Obama agrees with, and which he rejects. Thus our insight into the mind of Obama is now hopelessly mixed up.
Of course, the other fact is that Obama has the most left-leaning record in the current Senate. This, together with his Wrightness, is a killer set of the first magnitude.
I do hope he does not succeed to the presidency with this background in mind.
Thus, the only sane option is McCain.

Rants and Rants
Madness in the World
For some time, I have been mulling a special problem. It goes like this: my blog posts have focused on subjects that anger me, or bring out the contrariness in me. This means that I am always in the attack mode, or complaint mode. At times, I get carried away into worse—hate mode!
Now, it isn't the people I hate so much as the ideas they have somehow gotten fixed in their heads. It isn't the small, irritating things either. I get upset at ideas that could develop into a movement or a cause that hurts me, my family, my city and my country. Many of these hurtful ideas are pursued for reasons of power-grabbing, influence, or making a lot of money, or all three.
Today's example is Global Warming aka Climate Change, which is a lot of hot air. Everyone is a weatherman, you know, so the entire population can get involved in commenting how much hotter it has been, and how storms seem to have gotten worse, and hurricanes more frequent—none of which is actually true. The ice is melting at the poles and threatens to raise the oceans by feet, they say, while the sane scientific community calmly reports that yes, some ice is melting, but far more has been created. No one pays attention to these reports when TV show pictures of huge chunks of ice falling into the sea from one point, and does not show pictures of the vast new ice fields around the corner. This whole idea is supported wildly by Un'ers, because it argues for a World dictatorship to solve the (non-existent) CO2 problem.
Yesterday, it was the Liberal mindset, and the grave damage liberals may do to our way of life, because in their arrogance they believe that their ideas are best for all of us. You know, abortion, which has resulted in over 50 million deaths; or gay marriage, that would disrupt the millennium-old Biblical tradition of man marrying woman, just to name a few of their curve ball ideas.
The other day, it was the concept of giving the UN 0.7% of our GNP yearly, which, if the past is any indication, means the US taxpayer will create several thousand millionaires, and probably a few billionaires in the bargain, in such places as Zimbabwe and Botswana, the Marshall Islands, and Tahiti. I just cannot understand why some politicians think the UN is an honorable institution, or why we should kick in our money knowing that it will be misused, thus continuing the fraud. The UN should be downplayed and starved. We can put our charities to work ourselves.
For the longest time, my ire has been up because of Islam. No one seems to understand what they are about, which is to conquer the world for Allah. If anyone takes the trouble to study Islam, the first reaction they have is: “Damn! These people are a bloodthirsty bunch of warriors!” After they figure out that all of the sweetness and light of the early Koran has been subsequently abrogated (canceled) by the clerics and Muhammad himself, they begin to realize that we have a fearsome enemy on our hands. What's more, over 6 million of them are already inside the US, and every one of them is a potential insurgent. Then too, one only has to read the newspapers to discover that Muslims are busy around the world killing, maiming, and trying to establish Sharia Law. This Islam thing is not a minor little problem for us, yet a large number of people are against the GWOT. Go figure!
Yes, this is a rant. That is my problem: how to turn my rants into useful screeds. I am convinced that my ideas about these issues are correct, but it is virtually impossible to prove them to be so. All I can do is is to continue to add my words to the pot, and hope that they have some small effect.

A Cautionary Tale: Eugenics Redux
Tis is a little-remembered story of science and politics gone mad.
From “War Against the Weak”, by Ed Black
"In the first three decades of the 20th Century, American corporate philanthropy combined with prestigious academic fraud to create the pseudoscience eugenics that institutionalized race politics as national policy. The goal: create a superior, white, Nordic race and obliterate the viability of everyone else.
How? By identifying so-called “defective” family trees and subjecting them to legislated segregation and sterilization programs. The victims: poor people, brown-haired white people, African Americans, immigrants, Indians, Eastern European Jews, the infirm and really anyone classified outside the superior genetic lines drawn up by American raceologists.
The main culprits were the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune, in league with America’s most respected scientists hailing from such prestigious universities as Harvard, Yale and Princeton, operating out of a complex at Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island. The eugenic network worked in tandem with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the State Department and numerous state governmental bodies and legislatures throughout the country, and even the U.S. Supreme Court. They were all bent on breeding a eugenically superior race, just as agronomists would breed better strains of corn. The plan was to wipe away the reproductive capability of the weak and inferior.
Ultimately, 60,000 Americans were coercively sterilized — legally and extra-legally. Many never discovered the truth until decades later. Those who actively supported eugenics include America’s most progressive figures: Woodrow Wilson, Margaret Sanger and Oliver Wendell Holmes."
Perhaps we should be wary of scientists with power. I know that a basketful of initialed organizations, including the NSF, have come out saying that global warming/climate change is serious stuff. But, you see, the fever has risen to the point that a scientist cannot get research grants, and PhD candidates cannot get their degrees unless they sign up the the orthodoxy of a grave problem. It smacks of the eugenics thrust in spades, where everyone was convinced it was for the best to sterilize those 60,000 people. Since GW is a highly scientific area, and since we are relying on "prestigious scientists" for technical advice, and highly dubious leaders of the movement, such as Algore, I believe we should go very slowly and carefully into this issue.
Find the good scientists, one's that have no axe to grind, no carbon offsets to sell, and no accolades to garner from collegues.

Brief Comments
Covering a few issues before sleep hits.
Obama. The Prophet is sailing along and gathering the dust of Texas on his shoes. I have never seen the likes of such a run. All hope and little substance. What ideas he has voiced are juvenile and impractical. The latest being to order our troops out of Iraq, only to send them back if he finds that Al Queida is based there. Hello? I hate to tell him, but Al Queida is already there. Still.
Clinton. I have never understood how the Clintons could run on nothing too, and make people believe it is great. Hillary has no experience either: that makes two neophytes running for the Democrats.
Iraq. All we hear now is devastation wrecked by female bombers.
