UBL RIP

The man is finally dead. He should have been not long after 9/11. I give little credit to Obama, except that he didn't stop the plan. This event should not have anything at all to do with the election, except to wonder why it took so long under Obama and Bush to find the man and kill him.  Then too, why are many other high level terrorists still alive?

What an ironic tragedy if the death of ben Laden actually helped Obama to win a second term, so we can double the deficit again.
I cannot resist crowing that I told you so way before the 2008 election that Obama was poison to the nation.

A further thought on Obama: here is a man that exhibits a dangerous moral ambivilance; he organizes and avidly tries to watch in real time the assasination of ben Laden by a bullet in the face, yet he loathes the waterboarding and other extrodinary interrogation methods used to help find UBL in the first place, even though waterboarding leaves the victim essentially undamaged. A bullet in the face represents the ultimate damage one can do to a human being.

Fitna

Fitna should be seen.

I suppose it is true that many Muslims have not read the Koran, the Hadith, or any of the Fatwas that define the official faith of Islam. They take their understanding of Islam from their local imam and visiting clerics. The Koran is written in Arabic in the first place, and to purchase a translated copy may be more than many can afford.

This means that some large percentage of Muslims are simply ignorant of the larger problems of adhering to the faith. Some, however, are quite aware of the demands of Jihad, and the hatred of Christians and Jews preached by imams and their Koran, yet they conduct themselves as rational citizens of many nations for most of their lives.

Another group, however, which may amount to as much as 30-40% of Muslims, are not only aware of their obligations, but are quite willing to follow Jihadist leaders into terrorist actions against the infidel. Out of this group come the fighters, the terrorists, the insurgents, and the devoted anti-Jewish Hamas, Hisbollah, rocket launchings into Israel, and Iranian, Syrian or Saudi infiltrators in Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Since this group amounts to something like 50 to 150 million male Muslims of fighting age in the pool, there is no shortage of willing suicide bombers, fighters and intifada participants. What they usually lack is sufficient training, arms and easy access to their targets. This is a purely logistics problem.

So I will give peaceful Muslims a wary pass for now, but such a pass is fully conditional on their continued good behavior in our nation and elsewhere.

This does not help us much, since there are so many left around the world that are willing to riot, destroy, cut off heads, blow up restaurants, rocket civilians, burn autos, plant IEDs, shoot Iraqi citizens, and hang our men by the neck to bridgework. Many, many Muslims are violent, subversive and dangerous people, and they should be held accountable for their barbaric actions wherever they happen. This is what the GWOT is all about.

I find appeasement of Muslims to be a rather risky business, since there is such a great chance that we are appeasing Jihadists — if only in waiting — and I certainly do not want to have to defend our nation from those who would install Sharia Law here in any way as they are pushing for in the UK, France, Holland, Sweden, and other EU nations.

Too much tolerance of a dedicated enemy is not a wise thing to practice. Read the Koran, and watch Wilders' movie. He is not exaggerating.

The Islamic Threat

Where did my opinion of Islam originate?

After reading blog posts on “expertise” and the public, I had to ask myself just how my opinion about the invasion of Iraq got set in stone. I would cite a number of things:

1. The 50-year war between Israel versus Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and by indirection, Iran. The utter brutality of the Islamic states and their dominant organizations against Israel must be remembered, despite many attempts to bring peace to the area in brokered deals that were sabotaged by the Islamics. This led me to pick up a Koran, and to explore the Haddith and fatwas.

2. The conclusions from my readings about Islam clearly told me that Islamic fascism is a deadly enemy of the US, and that all Muslims are committed to jihad against us if called upon to do so.

3. The daily news that reported atrocities of ever-increasing horror conducted by Muslims against their enemies, culminating in many direct attacks on US installations and troops, which I won’t mention in detail here as they are well-known.

4. The obvious after-the-fact rejection of US support to Muslims in a number of instances, such as Kuwait and Kosovo, which was largely ignored in the Islamic world.

5. The bribery we have participated in for years to keep Egypt relatively passive.

6. The two-faced Saudi Arabia policies that gave us low gas prices while the Saudis built a worldwide net of Muslim fanatics against us.

7. The reports of imams from Saudi Arabia, throughout the 10,000 US mosques, that preach hatred of the US and jihad against unbelievers in our nation---me, in other words. And, the fact that there are almost 6 million Muslims in the US already!

8. The experiences I had living for 13 years in Europe watching the guest-workers building up to a large percentage of the population, and beginning to demand special laws to accommodate their beliefs--Sharia.

9. 9/11.

By these and many other events and writings about Islam, notably Churchill, I concluded that we faced a serious and insidious challenge from Islam, or at least by a significant percentage of the one and a half billion Muslims in the world. If there are only 10% of the Muslims that are willing to attack the West by any means available, we face an army of 100 million fanatics! Even if we are talking about 5%, it is still an army of 50 million, which is over 50 times the army of the US. So pick only 1%, a number that many can accept. That is still one million fanatics to be dealt with. Our response to this challenge had been weak and ineffective, to be kind to the so-called leaders of that era. Fact is, we don't know how many fanatics we face!

After 9/11, there was left only the questions in my mind of where to strike this many-headed, very large, poisonous snake first, and then subsequently, and how far we needed to go to kill the snake or at the very least, to render the 1% to 10% of it relatively harmless.

No one has answered my questions adequately.

Terror

And I Mean Islamic Terrorism

Let us first label what we are seeing to be Islamic terrorism. Thus our enemy is Islam, including all individuals who profess to be dedicated followers of the teachings of Muhammad. That is, we must consider as enemies those who believe that jihad against the infidel is a sacred duty, which encompasses most Muslims should they be commanded to participate by their leaders.

Syllogistically:

All Muslims give fealty to Islam.

Islam demands that Muslims perform jihad against infidels.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, all Muslims support jihad.

It is obvious that Muslims in America cannot do much in the way of jihad when surrounded by our citizenry, 9/11 being the exception. It could become the rule in the near future.

Whether we withdraw from the confrontation with Islam or not, we will be attacked. Whether we fight on their lands or not, we will be attacked. These attacks will be of ever increasing ferocity and deadliness as the Muslims acquire the means for mass destruction and delivery. The attacks will evolve into ever more sophisticated forms, including financial, and inflaming of populations worldwide to disperse our military resources. Oil is a weapon of increasing importance also.

Terror therefore is now the norm. Increased terror will be perceived as the norm as the years go by, until we find the right set of solutions to the problem. This set of solutions must be a total response to the Jihadists, including: military, social, economic, political, geographic, and psychological warfare, and involving our full resources.

It will take a major attack with loss of life far in excess of 9/11 to bring the sleeping public, and the passive, or jihad-dead minds we are beset with, properly into the fray.
