Robert E. Lee

General Robert E. Lee on his horse Trigger. This monument is a few blocks away here in Richmond. You might know that he is facing South, not North, because he had the duty to surrender to U. S. Grant. Here was a leader in the best tradition of our U.S. Army, but he felt it his duty to offer his services to the South in the Civil War.

Hi Mannning - I am sure you saw the note from George at Warblogging - apparently he has decided to take a "break" and may fire up the site again if he has the energy.. too funny. I have bookmarked your blog and am looking forward to some healthy debates :)

Cheers

You are welcome any time, MC.

I have found that blogging elsewhere than Warblogging is far more conducive to rational debates.

JasonJ and I have been going to and fro on Rousseau for weeks now, but he seems to spend less time at it at this point.

Renee Rousseau? Oo.. she's hot..

Kidding!!! :)

I hear you on the blogging elsewhere subject. Been hearing a lot about the straight dope site.. sounds like a lot of heated debates fire up there.. of course I will keep my eyes on your blog as well.. :)
